The concept of peace is one that is intricately embedded in the interfaces of politics, the economy, environment, sports and gender. All of these elements are indicative of the level and possibilities that enable or disable the existence of some degree of peace in various systems. Thus, the viability for this existence is highly dependent on the levels of involvement or understanding of such processes and interfaces, with the preferred goal that this understanding will invariably enhance a positive articulation of alternative means towards attaining peace. It thus suffices to say that it was within this mindset that the Afroscope magazine was compiled by African Students at the University for Peace. Afroscope is an alternative and viable channel of information and a means of exploring a broad-based range of what constitutes the concept of peace.
